Depanners

Removing products from a baking form can take place by a variety of methods, depending on the product. For this reason, Capway has developed many different types of depanners.

We offer you the following possibilities for bread-like types.

For all loaf and bun bread types: the CapGrip

The in-line CapGrip vacuum depanner is used most often in industrial bakeries. This type of machine can depan almost all types of loaf and bun bread types, in large quantities per hour. The CapGrip depanner is the ideal machine for industrial bakeries.
Features:

  • Continually rotating vacuum conveyor continuously suctions the products out of the baking form or baking sheets.
  • The strong fan with pre-switched air filter creates the necessary vacuum. The fan and the filter can be integrated into the machine, as desired.
  • Fitted with automatic bread height monitor, vacuum cup cleaning and/or air jets.

Adding a delidder to the depanner means that bread types such as toast, sandwich and other lidded bread types can be processed.

Leaving the baking form vertically: the Pick ’n Place depanner

Some bread types require that the bread is suctioned vertically out of the baking forms. In such circumstances, Capway deploys a Pick ’n Place depanner. This is a vacuum plate with suction pads, connected to a fan. This vacuum plate is moved backwards and forwards vertically and places the products sideways onto a product removal conveyor. This type of depanner works discontinuously. The result of this is a capacity limitation.

For soft bun types: the scrabbler depanner

Capway has developed a scrabbler depanner specifically for soft bun types. This machine scrabbles the small products from a flat baking sheet. If the baking sheet has upright edges, the scrabble ‘nose’ moves up and down. This machine works without a vacuum. The advantage is that the installed electrical capacity and the noise level are therefore minimised.

Cake-type products

We supply a number of special machines for cake-type products. The ‘WEK’ with a magnetic revolving drum is the most common. The products are removed by gravity during the in-line inversion of the baking forms. Cake types, such as cupcakes, brioches and madeleines, are lifted from the forms using a needle depanner. These are usually Pick ’n Place machines.

Frozen products with push unit

Frozen products can freeze to the carrier. In the case of products such as half-baked baguettes, pistolettes and Kaiser rolls, Capway uses a push depanner. This type of machine guarantees a good operation in the case of frozen products. If desired, Capway can build special machines for your specific product.

So all in all, whichever type of bread you want to produce, we will get it out of the baking form in a product-friendly manner!
